The short answer
In the 90 days to 31 October 2026, players finished almost 60,000 games on DraftFor20 and bought 492,233 cards between them. The average card sold for $3.29. The highest average price for any one card was $8.35, for Satoru Gojo in the Jujutsu Kaisen deck.
So the most wanted card in the whole game costs well under half of a $20 budget. In most decks the top name goes for two to two and a half times an ordinary card. A player who pays $14 for one name isn't paying the going rate. They're paying close to double it.
The most expensive cards
These are the twelve highest average prices among cards bought at least 300 times. Food holds its own: Cookies and Cream and pepperoni cost about as much as Lionel Messi.
- Satoru Gojo, Jujutsu Kaisen Characters: $8.35
- Michael Jordan, NBA All-Time Greats: $7.92
- LeBron James, NBA All-Time Greats: $7.81
- Sukuna, Jujutsu Kaisen Characters: $7.59
- Thanos, Movie Villains: $7.31
- Darth Vader, Movie Villains: $7.22
- Lionel Messi, Footballers: $7.21
- Cookies and Cream, Ice Cream Flavors: $7.13
- Pepperoni, Pizza Toppings: $7.08
- Grand Theft Auto, Video Game Franchises: $7.06
- Cristiano Ronaldo, Footballers: $6.97
- Superman, Superheroes: $6.87
The cheapest cards people still bought
At the other end, these cards were bought at least 300 times for an average of about $1.25 or less. They're the names that fill a last slot once the money has gone elsewhere.
- Zaccharie Risacher, NBA Players: $1.03
- Jessica Jones, Superheroes: $1.14
- Zucchini, Pizza Toppings: $1.22
- Eggplant, Pizza Toppings: $1.22
- Falcon, Superheroes: $1.24
- Fire Emblem, Video Game Franchises: $1.25
- Wasp, Superheroes: $1.25
- Jack Grealish, Footballers: $1.26
The cards people give away
Whoever opens a card can give it away instead of taking it: it lands free on the other player's roster and fills one of their slots. Each player gets two gives a game. In the 90 days, 170,968 cards were given away, about one in four of all the cards dealt.
Some cards are given away more often than they're kept. These were dealt at least 300 times and given away more than half the time:
- Annie Wilkes, Movie Villains: 59%
- Kasumi Miwa, Jujutsu Kaisen Characters: 59%
- Ui Ui, Jujutsu Kaisen Characters: 59%
- Zaccharie Risacher, NBA Players: 58%
- Drew Allar, NFL Players: 56%
- Bronny James, NBA Players: 54%
- Jack Grealish, Footballers: 54%
- Eggnog, Ice Cream Flavors: 54%
Which decks cost the most
Of the decks with at least 2,000 cards sold, Movies had the highest average card at $3.74, followed by Cartoon Characters ($3.63), Champions League Icons ($3.57) and Jujutsu Kaisen Characters ($3.55). The lowest were Formula 1 Drivers ($2.79), Dragon Ball Z Characters ($2.85) and US States ($2.91).
A high average means the money spreads across many names people want. In the cheaper decks one or two stars take most of the budget: Dragon Ball Z's top card averages over $9, yet its average card is under $3, because the rest of the roster fills for a dollar or two.
Using this in your own draft
Treat about $8 as the ceiling for the best card in a deck and about $3 as an ordinary one. Bid past $8 and you're paying more than almost every other player has. A card you like going for under $2 is probably one other people pass over, so let it come to you late.
Every deck page shows its own figures, recalculated each night from the last 90 days: the most expensive cards, the bargains and the cards given away most.
How we counted
Every number here comes from finished games on DraftFor20 in the 90 days to 31 October 2026. A card's price is its winning bid, averaged over every time it was bought, and the lists only include cards bought or dealt at least 300 times, so one wild auction can't move them. 96% of those games used the standard $20 budget; the rest used bigger ones, which nudges the averages up slightly.
Questions
What's the most anyone pays for one card in the $20 draft?
On average, $8.35: Satoru Gojo in the Jujutsu Kaisen deck, bought 483 times in the 90 days to 31 October 2026. Michael Jordan ($7.92) and LeBron James ($7.81) came next.
How much does an ordinary card cost?
$3.29 on average, across 492,233 cards bought in almost 60,000 finished games.
Should I spend most of my $20 on one card?
You can, and some people do. But even the most wanted cards average under $9, so paying far more than that is well above what other players pay, and it leaves little for the rest of your roster.
How often do players give a card away?
About one card in four: 170,968 of the 663,201 cards dealt in the 90 days to 31 October 2026.
Where can I see the prices for one deck?
On that deck's page under Categories. It lists its most expensive cards, its bargains and the cards given away most, updated every night.
