Candy and Sweets: the $20 draft
43 cards, dealt one at a time from a hidden deck. Two of you, $20 each, five picks. Food decks are the easiest first draft with someone who does not follow sport: everybody has a position, nobody needs any knowledge, and the disagreements start on the first card.

How the draft works
You and a friend each get $20 of play money and the same number of roster slots, five by default. The server shuffles the 43-card Candy and Sweets deck and deals it one card at a time. Neither of you can see what is coming next.
Each card opens at $1 with one of you holding it. The holder can take it at a dollar or give it away, which lands it on the other roster for free and uses one of their two gives. Once somebody takes it, the other can raise or pass, back and forth under a countdown, until one of you lets it go.
The reserve rule keeps it honest: you always have to keep the minimum bid back for every slot you still owe, so nobody can blow the lot on one card and leave the rest of their roster empty. The draft ends when both rosters are full. The money you have left is the scoreboard; who drafted better is for the two of you, or the people you send it to, to argue about.
Three to six of you? A group room plays it as an open auction: every card goes to whoever bids most. The full rules and strategy.
Candy and Sweets draft FAQ
How do you play the Candy and Sweets draft?
Two players each get $20 of play money to fill a roster, five picks by default. Cards from the 43-card Candy and Sweets deck are dealt one at a time from a hidden, shuffled deck, and you bid against each other under a countdown. Whoever finishes with more money left has the edge, and the argument about whose roster is better does the rest.
Is the Candy and Sweets draft free?
Yes. Play against a friend with a room link or against the bot, in the browser, with no account and no download. The money is play money: there is no wagering and nothing is paid out.
What is the most expensive card in Candy and Sweets?
Not enough Candy and Sweets cards have sold yet to say. Prices appear once a card has sold ten times.
Which Candy and Sweets cards get given away?
A give puts a card on the other player's roster for free. It is how you get rid of a card you would rather not pay for, and each player only has two.
What stops someone spending all $20 on one card?
The reserve rule. You must always keep the minimum bid back for every slot you still have to fill, so with four slots left at a $1 minimum the most you can bid is your bankroll minus $3. The server checks every bid, so nobody can get round it.
